Many people, at some point in their life, will need to discuss personal problems with a mental health professional. There are many types of therapies available. We place emphasis on the use of a cognitive behavioral intervention. The focus of this type of therapy is to help individuals identify dysfunctional and self-defeating thoughts/ behaviors that may contribute to depressed moods and/ or anxiety. Once these are identified, clients learn to replace old patterns with new, more productive alternatives. Through a series of therapeutic steps, individuals can find healthy solutions to difficult issues. Many clients can be helped in as few as ten to fifteen sessions and leave therapy with the tools needed to make life changes.  Additional treatment approaches include Mindfulness based interventions, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused, and Client Centered interventions.
